Why a Cute Beach Outfit Needs to be Your Summer Uniform

What does your summer uniform consist of? It depends largely on where you live but being a Cali girl my summer uniform is made up of hats, shorts, bikinis, and sandals. With some dressy beach style thrown in here and there.
I think California girls have it pretty easy. Every beach town you visit in the summer women both young and old have a particular California style that you can distinguish from foreigners. The California cool vibe that you get is undeniable, the effortlessly cool and lovely outfits that are created from Californians is unique.
A cute beach outfit can consist of shorts, a racer back tank top with a bikini underneath, or crisp white shorts and a bikini as a shirt. The options we have as women in California are pretty relaxed. If we want to wear a tank top over a bikini walking around a beach town we can or a bandeau bikini by itself will do just fine.
We’re strictly speaking coastal cities here, you won’t see this from someone living in the Central Valley. The relaxed vibe definitely stays on the coast.
My Cute Beach Outfit
My beach style is a mixture of California cool with some European influence. Instead of a graphic racer back tank top I’ll wear a jewel toned spaghetti strap in silk. Instead of super short distressed denim shorts I’ll wear a pair of crisp cuffed white shorts with tan detailing.
A cute beach outfit to me can mean a lot of things. I do like wearing casual clothing but if given the option I will always find a way to dress up an outfit even when it’s a cute beach outfit.
In this outfit, I wanted an outfit that I could wear from drinks at a nice restaurant to the beach. I was looking for a style that said I’m here on vacation, but I still want to look stylish.
To achieve such a look I selected cute beach clothes that would work on the beach and off. I created a cute summer outfit that was also a cute beach outfit. It’s like creating two outfits in one.
I wore my favorite summer bikini under shorts and a jeweled toned tank top. I added a pair of embellished sandals and a wide brimmed hat. Some dainty accessories and beaded bracelets completed this cute beach outfit.
