Have you ever had a piece in your closet that you bought some time ago, maybe even over a year, and you’ve never wore it? I know you must have! Then, when you’re about to get rid of it because you’ve convinced yourself that it’s about time you made room in your closet for something else you decide to wear it.

It’s the funniest thing!

It’s when you’re about to get rid of something do you honestly evaluate it. You think, “why did I buy this in the first place?” Then, while you’re looking at the piece it happens, you magically come up with an outfit. Never mind that you’ve had the item for over a year and the tag is still on it, today is the day that you’re finally going to wear it.

This fuchsia button down top. I bought it because I loved the color. It wasn’t a big investment, I bought it at Forever 21, which is the main reason why I didn’t feel bad about not wearing it for so long.

What sparked this outfit was the recent purchase of the fuchsia tank I’m using as an undershirt. It was the perfect companion to this long forgotten fuchsia shirt. Since fuchsia is a marvelous color, I wanted it to be the main focus of this summer outfit. I paired it with white denim pants, cute sandals and a mint clutch. I even added a fuchsia flower to the clutch to tie in the accessory with this fun summer look.
