Stylish Beach Attire that You Can Wear on and Off the Beach
South Beach Miami in January
This January we headed to Miami for the first time and the first thing I thought about packing was stylish beach attire. Peter and I don’t usually travel to “paradise” style destinations, so I don’t have an abundance of beach attire to pack for these trips.
Before this trip, I ordered a bunch of swimsuits from Victoria’s Secret that were on sale. With our lack of paradise travel I usually wait until swimsuits are on sale to buy some. That might change depending on where we travel to and the occasion of course, but so far that’s what I’ve done.
I wore this outfit in South Beach Miami in January. The weather was not too hot or cold. Shorts during the day and a light sweater at night type of weather. The temperature typically ranges from the high 70s during the day to the low 60s in the evening. The first day we arrived it was in the 80s and a very sunny, perfect beach day.
I’ve shared what to wear to the beach before; beach clothes can vary from string bikinis to a light, flowy printed dress. It depends on the weather, occasion, and the type of beach.
Beach Attire to Wear on and Off the Beach
While traveling, I like to wear beach attire that can transition from the beach to everyday activities away from the beach. And by off the beach, I mean to a restaurant for lunch or a cute outdoor bar.
I don’t like or feel comfortable walking around beach towns in my swimsuit, so I make sure my beach outfit also makes for a cute outfit for exploring the city.
In this stylish beach outfit, I paired crochet shorts with a bright printed tunic. The printed tunic screams “I’m on vacation!” I’m relaxing and enjoying some sun so don’t bother me, haha.
When traveling to sunny locations I like to have a hat with me just it case it gets too hot. So make sure you always pack or purchase a hat when you’re traveling to the beach.
To complete this stylish beach outfit, I wore some super cute sandals instead of flip-flops. Flip-flops have a very casual feel to them, and I wanted this beach outfit to be slightly more dressy, so I wore some embellished ankle strap sandals from Klub Nico.
Finally, some stacked beaded bracelets in fun colors fully completed this beach look.
If you’re wondering what beach attire, you should pack when getting ready for a vacation make sure you pack clothes that look just as beautiful on the beach as it does off.
Stay Stylish,
