Transitional Weather Outfit

As soon as weather is appropriate the scarves come out! Scarves are one of my favorite accessories to wear during the fall and winter.

You might have seen this gray plaid scarf in a previous outfit post, Gray and Burgundy and you might have also seen that I’m mad for plaid. Combine the two elements, plaid and scarves and you get an accessory that you’ll want to wear over and over again.

One of the reasons I love scarves is their versatility. Keep your eye out for fresh new ways to style your favorite scarf!

In this outfit I decided to not bundle it around my neck. Instead, I left the scarf hanging and added a skinny belt to add definition to my waist. I don’t want a scarf to overwhelm my outfit but I do want it to add to the overall look and feel.

This is one of the trickiest times when getting dressed, transitional weather. It’s freezing cold in the morning but by time lunch the weather can be as high as 75 degrees outside. This is why I’m wearing a skirt with no tights, even though it’s November. The leaves may have turned golden and fallen but this warm weather doesn’t seem to want to let up. So to work with the weather – I bundle up in the morning with layers or a large warm scarf and once the afternoon hits I can shed off the scarf and the outfit still works.
